John Glisson began his relationship with pornography much like any kid does with an unexpected exposure. At the tender age of 8 John was first shown porn and soon learned that it was a great way to deal with stress. What began as a curiosity grew into a power that when fed deeply threatened his peace. He tried drugs too but it wasn’t until he “had a radical meeting with Jesus Christ” that he let go of the influences that threatened that peace.
John realized along the way that letting God into his heart was just a beginning. Like Peter walking on the water towards Christ, he too faltered. But also like Peter he realized that even in his moments of doubt and shame, Christ was still there, ready to lift him up. John has learned much on his journey to leave behind the man of the world and walk in the light.
I learned from John the power of confession & in ongoing and willful accountability to others. It was a pleasure to have join us, to talk about his healing & his vision to of getting his inspired Purity Report into the hands of as many as possible. Hear his full interview here:
