Angus Nelson is a natural-born leader, but is not afraid to serve. In fact, you could say that’s exactly why he makes such a great leader. His energy has been described as contagious, his commitment infectious and his leadership inspiring. Angus  is the author of a new book about navigating relationship and love called, Love’s Compass: When We’ve Lost our Way. He knows the role of shame in the cycle of addiction. He lives in Huntsville, Alabama with his wife and three kids.

My Thoughts on Angus

I think everyone needs some people in their lives that can inject them with a little bit of energy every now and then.  Angus is that kind of guy. I loved talking with him. When people are real with you, it gives you permission to do the same. Honesty, the first step in the 12 Step program, is the first step in life really and I was able to feel that as I listened to Angus’ story of addiction, divorce & rebirth. Honesty is the key to living life to its fullest and I think you can get a real sense of that from listening to Angus.
